TSD Travel Advisory Rules- Effective 12/8/2020

COVID-19 TRAVEL ADVISORY & SELF QUARANTINING

Effective Immediately, Talawanda School District will implement self quarantining for 14 days for any student or staff member that travels to a hotspot state.  Per the NEW CDC Guidelines, a person who does not demonstrate any Covid-19 symptoms AND who can provide the district with a negative Covid-19 test result on days 5, 6, or 7 of the quarantine, may be permitted to return to school or work earlier.  In addition, the school or work environment must meet the requirement that the person will have 6 feet of social distance from other staff and students throughout the work and school day.

The Ohio Health Department & the Butler County Health Department recommend that people self quarantine for 14 days upon returning from a state that is listed as a hotspot for Covid-19.  A hotspot is a state that is reporting positive Covid-19 rates of 15% or higher.  Please see the link to the map, as the states listed can change.

• Winter Break food distribution will take place on December 21st from 2:15-2:45 at all TSD school buildings. Please see our flier for more info.

• Attention Seniors! Numerous locally run scholarships are now available! Please see the Scholarship Listing on the School Counseling webpage for the details. This includes the Hamilton Community Foundation scholarships which are open from Dec 14th - Jan 22nd! 

• “End Of Course” tests for students taking 1st semester Government and Seniors who are re-testing will be held December 14th - 18th. Please click here for more details.

• Submit a picture for inclusion in the yearbook! Please visit this site and enter the supplied ID: www.images.jostens.com

• If you are submitting an underclass picture please follow these rules:

1. Solid, single-color background - NO OUTSIDE PICTURES!
2. Chest up portrait, face can be seen clearly
3. No props, filters, or other extra features added

• If you are submitting a senior picture please follow these rules:

1. Backgrounds are up to you, these can cater to your senior
2. Face must be seen clearly, but not limited to only chest shots
3. NO FILTERS -but-  props are ok as long as they follow code of conduct

You must provide the first and last name of the student you are uploading, as well as grade and email.  This applies to all students, even seniors.  You can no longer submit your photo to yearbook@talawanda.org! Please use the provided link and school code!  If your portrait does not follow the rules supplied, you will receive a notification of a rejected photo and be asked to resubmit!
