School News and Information

Happy Friday!  Our first 3 days of online learning is probably over at this point.  I know we are all getting used to this new way of operating. Thank you to all our families, staff, and especially students for your patience and willingness to engage in an online learning environment.  As I said yesterday, we love getting updates from students on how they are doing. We love seeing pictures, videos, or little email updates. Several teachers have shared with me the updates they have received. It’s great to see what the students are working on and doing while at home!

Next week is officially our Spring Break!  Please take this time as family time - our staff will be doing the same.  Play some board games as a family, have a family movie night, get outside in your own yard if the weather allows, build something, make a craft, read, draw, or have students  create a journal of the week (written, Google slideshow, short video). It has probably been a stressful transition and so take some time to step away from home school. We all need this time to be prepared for the next stretch of online learning days.

During this time away from school please avoid large gatherings, cover your coughs using your elbow, avoid the touching of your eyes, nose and mouth, and wash your hands frequently.  The purpose of this closure is to slow the spread of the virus and this can only be done if each of us takes a few extra precautions. This also means not using the school grounds as a place to gather and play.  Be safe and stay healthy.
