The mission of Marshall Elementary is to work as a community to achieve higher levels of thinking and learning by empowering every learner everyday.

School News and Information

If you were not able to come Monday. We will be staffed one more day, tomorrow, from 9:00 am - 12:00 pm to pick up any medication, devices or work. We are also in the building to answer any questions you may have.

Throughout this time we will experience some hiccups but we are all being understanding and trying to provide as much support as possible. Thank you for your continued patience and support. I would like to thank the Marshall teachers for communicating with parents and families during these times. Our teams will continue to keep you and the students updated. Please continue to email and ask questions.

Online learning days have been designated as March 18, 19, 20, 30, 31, and April 1, 2, 3. We will still observe our planned Spring Break the week of March 23.

Information about the activities for these days will come from your child’s teacher. Many of our teachers will use the communication systems they have had in place throughout the school year - email, text messaging or other communication apps and through Google classroom for the students (especially in grades 3-5). If at any time during these online learning days you have questions you can always email your child’s teacher - addresses are listed below.

The district iPads and Chromebooks have apps loaded on them. We are unable to give you the passwords to download additional apps. If you want to load additional apps to devices, you’ll need to put it on your own personal device. Should you experience tech issues please contact your child’s teacher and they may be able to help you problem solve or get some help with it.

AR Update

If you were unable to access AR please try again. The company needed to release the test to be given outside of the school network and it should work now.

Resources

WiFi hotspots are on backorder so if we have not been able to connect you with one you may want to try some of the options that various companies are offering for free. Just remember to cancel when the offer expires.

As an option you may drive to school and park near the building and access the schools’ WiFi from your car on your school provided device. Just remember to stay in your car. While school is closed you are not to be gathering at school - this also means not playing on the playground or equipment.

Free Access to RAZ Kids and Reading A-Z

Our students in K-1 already had access to these but this is now open to all families. Click HERE for the link.

ABCmouse, Adventure Academy, ReadingIQ

We reached out to ABCmouse, Adventure Academy and ReadingIQ. We now have access to their sites. You cannot add the apps to the iPads. We are unable to give you the passwords to download additional apps to the district devices. If you want to load additional apps to devices, you’ll need to put it on your own personal device. During this time away from school please avoid large gatherings, cover your coughs using your elbow, avoid the touching of your eyes, nose and mouth, and wash your hands frequently. The purpose of this closure is to slow the spread of the virus and this can only be done if each of us takes a few extra precautions. Be safe and stay healthy.
