School News and Information

Happy Friday Marshall Families!

We all heard Governor Dewine’s statement on Monday that said that school buildings will remain closed for the remainder of the school year. This means that we will continue with Learning at Home Online for the next 4 weeks. We appreciate all of your hard work, patience, and support so far and we thank you in advance for the next 18 school days remaining.

Tootles - I want to give you the opportunity to acknowledge how your child is being a PAX Leader at home. Complete this form and let me know the positive things they have done while at home - this a great way to encourage the behaviors you want to see more of at home. You will then receive an electronic tootle form in your email congratulating your child. Tootle Form

Morning announcements will continue. If your child would like to be featured saying the Pledge of Allegiance and/or the PAX Leader Pledge, please send it to me at hintonc@talawanda.org. At this point I have used all of them that I received and will start to reuse previous ones if I don’t receive new ones. As a reminder the link for morning announcements will be posted on the students Abre announcement screen, our Marshall Facebook page, and Marshall Twitter account.

Kindergarten Registration

We started collecting information about Kindergarten for next year before the school closings. If we have not taken your information yet and you have a child who will turn 5 before August 1, please complete this form and we will email you further directions for registering your child for kindergarten.

Technology Update and Reminders

If your child is having issues with their iPad or ChromeBook, please let your child’s teacher know. We are working on swapping out the technology for working devices as soon as possible.

From the Transportation Department

This is a reminder that a new Transportation Request Form for each school year. The form can be downloaded from the Talawanda Website for each child so that we can make sure that we have the most current contact information. Please remember that babysitting arrangements need to be filled out on the Transportation Form as well because it doesn’t always carry over from year to year. Thanks for thinking ahead to next year.

Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library

You may have heard that Dolly Parton's Imagination Library recently expanded to include all children Birth-5 in Butler County. This is wonderful news, as each enrolled child will receive 1 FREE book a month in the mail until their 5th birthday. Health and Safety

During this time away from school please stay at home, cover your coughs using your elbow, avoid the touching of your eyes, nose and mouth, and wash your hands frequently. The purpose of this closure is to slow the spread of the virus and this can only be done if each of us takes a few extra precautions. This also means not using the school grounds as a place to gather and play - our playgrounds and schools grounds are closed. Be safe and stay healthy.
