School News and Information

Hello Kramer Families!

First, thank you for all the help and support that you are providing your child(ren) while they are learning at home. Also thank you for your understanding and patience as we all figure this out. I would like to get us back to some sort of normalcy (whatever that is at this point). With that said, you will notice that I am going to return to the normal weekly E-News on Fridays. If you are like me you are receiving more emails than before so I would like to get it back to 1 per week from me unless there is a major change in information.

Please remember, with our school building being closed, please feel free to contact me with any questions or needs. I can be reached at merzj@talawanda.org.

I had a great meeting with our grade level chairs today. We shared what is working, what is a struggle and the feedback you are providing. The staff is adjusting their lessons daily and making the best of a tough situation. Please continue to give us feedback and let us know how we can help. Please continue to encourage your child to do their best!

Technology Update and Reminders

If your child is having issues with their iPad or ChromeBook, please let your child’s teacher know. We are working on swapping out the technology for working devices.

2020-21 Kindergarten Registration

Mrs. Ritcher sent the following information to incoming kindergarten parents earlier this week.

Kramer Elementary is postponing Kindergarten Orientation & Registration. We are looking forward to meeting you and our new students and will notify you when we reschedule. Thank you for completing your Final Forms and reviewing your packet.

Virtual Spirit Week

Thank you to the Kramer PTG for sponsoring the virtual spirit week! If you have any other suggestions, please let us know!

Butter Braid Fundraiser Canceled

Before the building closed due to the COVID-19 spread, the Grade 5 ETC classes began a Butter Braids fundraiser. Due to the social distancing guidelines and time restrictions, that fundraiser has been canceled. We will NOT receive Butter Braids this year.

If you purchased a Butter Braid through our online store, we have already begun the process to issue you a refund for that purchase. You should see a credit on the card you used for that purchase from My Fundraising Place within the next 10 days. You will be reimbursed for the $1.49 Processing Fee, as well.

If you purchased from a student and filled out their paper order form, they have been asked to contact you by April 14th to arrange the return of your money.

We greatly appreciated your support and appreciate your patience at this challenging time.

You may have heard that Dolly Parton's Imagination Library recently expanded to include all children Birth-5 in Butler County. Mrs. Pke, Kramer Social Worker provided a hub of national, state and local resources for families in need of financial support during this time.

During this time away from school please stay at home, cover your coughs using your elbow, avoid the touching of your eyes, nose and mouth, and wash your hands frequently. The purpose of this closure is to slow the spread of the virus and this can only be done if each of us takes a few extra precautions. This also means not using the school grounds as a place to gather and play - our playgrounds and schools grounds are closed. Be safe and stay healthy.
