School News and Information

Good Morning Kramer Families!

You have probably already heard that yesterday, March 30, 2020, Governor Mike DeWine made an announcement ordering all of Ohio’s public, community, and private K-12 school buildings to be closed to students until May 1, 2020, due to the coronavirus health crisis. See Dr. Theroux’s letter here.

We know the Governor’s order to extend the closure of our school building presents a challenge to our families. Our school is working diligently to partner with you in furthering your child’s education and well-being.

Although our school building is to remain closed, at-home learning will continue until at least May 1. We will continue to adjust and administer our virtual learning plans and expectations and provide student services and resources to the best of our ability. Our teachers will continue their work to prepare at-home learning for students, communicate with our families, and provide feedback to students.

We will begin the cancellation or rescheduling of activities planned during this additional time away from the school building. Changes will be communicated in our daily parent update.

I am certainly thankful that we have such an amazing staff committed to keeping learning going. But, even more so, I am grateful for the involved and engaged parents and families who ensure that students are staying on top of assignments, helping with questions, providing structure, and so much more. We will get through this together!

Technology Update and Reminders

If your child is having issues with their iPad or ChromeBook, please let your child’s teacher know. We are working on swapping out the technology for working devices.

Speaking of technology, Mrs. Kelly created a website with music activities, games and lessons.

During this time away from school please stay at home, cover your coughs using your elbow, avoid the touching of your eyes, nose and mouth, and wash your hands frequently. The purpose of this closure is to slow the spread of the virus and this can only be done if each of us takes a few extra precautions. This also means not using the school grounds as a place to gather and play - our playgrounds and schools grounds are closed. Be safe and stay healthy.
