KRAMER E-NEWS 4/23/21

Happy Friday!  We had a busy week with both our Face to Face and Remote Learners in grades 3-5 taking state tests.  Our Face to Face learners will be tested again next week.  Testing will continue for 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade.  Students in the 3rd, 4th and 5th grades will not be taking their Chromebooks home this weekend so that we can charge them and have them ready to use for the Ohio state tests.

It is always beneficial for students to get a good night’s rest, eat a healthy breakfast, and be reminded to take their time, read carefully, and do their very best.  Our students are prepared and we know they will do well. Students are encouraged to bring a healthy snack and water to drink for testing.   

Medication Reminder- Nurse Chelsea

Please remember not to send medication to school with your child.  This includes any over-the-counter medication (including cough drops).   You must bring the medication to school, and fill out the appropriate form from Nurse Chelsea.  If you have any questions, please contact Nurse Chelsea:

Fees

Fee invoices have been sent home with students this week.  If you have not paid school fees this year you can pay them via cash, check, or money order at the school office. Online payments can be made for School fees & Chromebook insurance through the Talawanda website via EZPay.  Remote learners can pay Chromebook insurance through EZPay.  Any questions, call the office at 513-273-3501.

Kindergarten Registration for 21-22 School Year

The Talawanda School District is currently taking calls for Kindergarten Registration for the 21-22 school year.  Please contact the elementary school for your area.  If you are unsure of which elementary school your child will attend each of our schools will help you get to the correct school.  When you call we will take down some information and then will email you a packet of information and a link to our online registration forms.  Please be sure to have an active email address.

Hotspot Collection- Mr. Rand

If your student is NOW attending school in person, but you were issued a hotspot while the district was hosting remote learning, we will begin collecting hotspots from just those students that are now face-to-face.

You may return the hotspot to your child's school, in the main office.  We will mark each student down as we receive the hotspots back.

Talawanda Baseball Camp

Talawanda Baseball will hold its annual Baseball Summer Camp for grades K-8 from June 1-4 (9 AM -Noon). Details and registration information will be available on Twitter, the Talawanda website, and in each elementary/TMS (digitally and physically) at the beginning of May.

As in previous years, TSD students will be released early on the last three days of school. Below is the schedule for all of the buildings.
