Bogan E-News - November 16, 2018

Thanksgiving Break:

• No school Wednesday, November 21st - Friday, November 23rd.     

Winter weather:

• With the temperatures dropping, please remember to send your child to school with a winter coat, hat, and gloves.  If you need any items, please contact the Bogan office. We will be happy to assist you.

Bogan Family Breakfast:

• Save the Date!  Our Bogan Family Breakfast is scheduled for Saturday, December 8th from 8:30-11:30am.  
• Pick up the items you sold for the Tumbler and More Fundraiser will during our breakfast.

Lost and Found

• Our lost and found is growing.  If your child is missing a jacket, lunch box, etc., please stop by (across from the art room) and take a look.  Remember to write your child’s name in their belongings, this helps us return items if found.

• Weather Delays-   Talawanda has gone back to a 2-hour weather delay this school year.  There will be no AM Preschool and no Half-Day kindergarten. The school day begins at 11:15 with a delay and drop off will begin at 11:05 - breakfast is not served on delay days since our lunch schedule starts at 11:20.

Thanks to the generosity of the Lane Public Library, our school now has unlimited and unrestricted access to TumbleBookLibrary!  Click on the link for more information.

Darrtown History Association being organized

• Do you like to listen to stories about the past? Do you enjoy looking at old photographs? Are you entertained by TV shows like American Pickers and the Antique Roadshow?

If so, you may be interested to learn that an effort is underway to collect, preserve, and display Darrtown history and you are invited to be part of it!

This project is being organized by a group that is currently known as the Darrtown History Association.

The name of the group may change; but the purpose will stay the same: Collect, preserve, and display Darrtown history.

Duane Clark, Ron Wiley, and Fred Lindley are three members of a five-member steering committee.

Two more members are needed; so, if you are interested in becoming part of this effort to collect, preserve, and display Darrtown history, please contact any of the following:
