TSD Information
The Talawanda Board of Education met via a ZOOM meeting (the meeting was also made available to the public on the district youtube channel) on September 29, 2020 to further discuss educational options for students in Talawanda School District. The board has voted in support of a plan that will bring Talawanda students back to school with a face-to-face option 5 days per week, while also offering parents the option to continue online if they so wish. October 14, 15, 16 students will work independently, so that TSD staff may prepare for students to return on
October 20, 2020.
Please use the link below to make your selection regarding TSD Learning Options. Please complete the form for each student in your household. Forms are due on Monday October 5, 2020 at noon.

Immunizations
Immunizations are one of the most important ways to keep society healthy and school open. All children must be up to date on immunizations by October 9, 2020 in order to participate in school. Letters will be sent this week only to families who have not provided immunization records. Please help us by taking care of this.
FLUency School Health Program
Mrs. Fangman, TSD Nurse shared the following information.
I am excited to let you know this great news! I applied for this and we were selected. This year Talawanda School District has been selected to participate in the FLUency School Health Program. The mission of the program is to prevent the spread of illness during cold and flu season at schools. The program works by providing our Elementary school families and staff with free award-winning Kinsa thermometers, our teachers free disinfectants, and our nurses with a private dashboard to see what's going around the school community (if parents choose to share anonymously).
The goal is to help stop illnesses before they even have the chance to spread. Families have the option to anonymously log and track symptoms and receive real-time, personalized guidance so they're able to make more informed decisions about when to take their child to the doctor and when to keep them home from school. You will also be able to monitor the anonymous health trends of your school community so you can react appropriately and encourage preventive health measures to keep healthy students well.
To learn more about the FLUency program, what we'll be receiving, and program timelines, please watch the short informational video here.
Please use this attachment to order your thermometer.
